Con el nombre de Metheglin se conoce al hidromiel que contiene hierbas o especias de cualquier tipo. Su nombre indica que estas bebidas se emplearon originalmente como medicinas tradicionales. La palabra galesa para hidromiel es medd, y la palabra "metheglin" deriva de meddyglyn, un compuesto de meddyg, "curación" y llyn, "licor".

 

Este hidromiel especiado está macerado con una combinación de jengibre, té verde y menta que le aportan una exquisita frescura que remite a los bosques de Miðgarðr.

With the name Metheglin it is known the mead with herbs or spices added. Its name indicates that many beverages were originally employed as folk medicines. The Welsh word for mead is medd, and the word "metheglin" derives from meddyglyn, a compound of meddyg, "healing" and llyn, "liquor".

 

This spiced mead is marinated in a mixture of ginger, green tea and mint that give an exquisite freshness which refers to the forests of Miðgarðr.
